Basic Eligibility Criteria
- Be at least 21 years old by the date of academy entrance
- Hold a high school diploma or GED (college credit preferred)
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Have no felony or disqualifying misdemeanor convictions
- Meet the physical and psychological standards of the department
Physical Resiliency Assessment
All applicants must complete the Physical Resiliency Assessment (PRA), which tests strength, endurance, and readiness for the physical demands of the job. The assessment includes:
- Timed Row Machine
- Push-ups
- Sit-ups
- Timed runs

Education and Entrance Exams
Applicants must provide proof of education and complete required exams throughout the hiring process, including:
- Written Exam: Evaluates critical thinking, reading comprehension, and situational judgment
